Lindsay Lohan is a right grafter. (A year ago if you'd have told us we'd be writing that sentence without being ironic or making some sort of rude pun we would have guffawed politely in your face.) Oh how times have changed. After being involved in a massive car wreck yesterday and getting rushed to hospital, Lindsay is back on set this morning.
Amazing stuff.
TMZ.com are reporting that she's hiding 'extensive' injuries so she can keep on shooting the Liz Taylor movie, Liz and Dick, for Lifetime channel.
They report that she refused to let producers cancel filming and went straight to the set after being released from hospital.
She apparently had visible bruises and cuts, but asked that make-up artists cover them up.
She must be serious about nailing this role which comes after several years of being in the movie wilderness after her partying and drinking ways made her unemployable.
She's trying to prove that she's not a liability anymore - although you'd think being in a whopping car crash might cut you some slack. Lindsay obviously doesn't want to risk it.
Lindsay's Porche was "totalled" after being involved in a collision with a truck in Los Angeles.
She was driving along the Pacific Coast Highway with her assistant just before noon when they crashed. She was reportedly taken to the UCLA Medical Centre where doctors performed tests.
Police said neither she nor the truck driver showed any signs of being under the influence of alcohol.
A spokesman for the Elizabeth Taylor biopic said, "First and foremost we're concerned about the wellbeing of Lindsay and anyone else who may have been involved in the accident.
"Lindsay has been doing fantastic work on the set of Liz and Dick."
SPLASH
We're totally rooting for Lindsay in a weird kind-of-but-not-meant-to-be-patronising-proud-parent way. It's the same with Britney Spears - we love that she's managed to turn everything around and is now doing massively well. It makes us feel genuinely quite happy. Which is strange as we're working on a Saturday and shouldn't really be happy.
